Needed some new plants for my garden so why not get something that would give me a bit of photo practice while I'm at it. Comments and suggestions very much appreciated.

Steve:
This is a really nice comp. The white might be a bit strong but not enough to cause any issue. I like how u got the center nice and sharp. The OOF bloom in the BG gives support to the foreground flower. Well done :toast:

Nice. I like the soft colors and DOF.

Hi Steve, I like how the OOF flowers in the BG replicate the FG flower. I think the OOF flower in the LR is distracting. I think the image merits some additional work.

Really gorgeous! Love your selection of dof and in the comp how the bg flower in the right upper corner echoes the entire shape of the subject flower. A very minor nit is that it would be perfect if there was some of the bg green in the urc above the oof flower. Can't always have everything, darn it... shot!

Beautifully lit, Steve, with a nice background complement of out of focus flowers. I only wonder if placing the main flower a touch more to the left would have given a greater sense of depth. I like this in any case.

Steve: Beautiful flower and a wonderful color palette. I would crop this to 5:4 ratio from both sides and make the bright spot in the RLC go away. Excellent DOF choice. Very nicely done.>=))>
