On the Way

You never know what you're going to get. This was taken on the last day of a week long trip to Glacier. The entire week there really wasn't a good sunrise or sunset. Frustrated and thinking that this morning would be another typical morning, I didn't bother to get up early enough to go anywhere else. When light started to appear, I quickly woke and headed for Glacier's Oxbow.

Those trees are pretty dark in this compressed file. The full file shows more detail, but perhaps it could use a little more. Thanks for the comment.

I really like how the trees and mountains frame the water. Scene may be a little dark, but it is still a beautiful capture of this amazing place.

Laura, thanks for the comment. I tend to like dark images, so I guess my personal bias is creeping in here. Still, I want to avoid too dark an image that doesn't work. Thanks.

It's a classic for a reason, beautiful scene. I like the lower perspective than what is often photographed. Looks like your patience paid off.

Impressive scene. If you can sleep in and get this image, sounds perfect.
