The Chinese Hat (named for the obvious reason) is one of the islands in the Galapagos. Flyover by the frigate bird. Photograph taken on January 14, 2008.
Nikon D3, 17-35mm, f/22.0, 1/500, +2EV, ISO 200.
Would appreciate your comments and critique.

Beautiful moment of light Kumar, but very tough to handle those conditions exposure wise. Ideally the sun wouldn't be so burned out, and the blacks wouldn't be quite so black, but such is life. The bird position is a little awkward (more in the right hand corner may have helped I think).

Agreed, super tough conditions. Regarless, I love what the bird adds to the shot.

Great shot! I didn't know about the island having the name, but for some reason I was sure this was the Galapagos. Good for you getting to go there!

While the bird is a bit centered, I like it's size. It's nicely prominent and makes for a strong focal element.
