This is from my yard last summer. Converted to greyscale and added Duotone.

Interesting image Kathy. I would have never thought to do this in greyscale. Nice study of light/dark and lines.

I like the elements and the B&W Kathy. I also like the composition. I wish two things: 1) That the top front of the bud was sharp. 2) That there was a bit more contrast.

Fantastic subject matter. Very graphic with a great composition. Maybe a little more contrast as Nathan suggests. Still, very nice.
