Wanted to try out my new lens. I bought it for birds, but when my wife brought home some roses I grabbed one. Full frame.

It's a good looking image Wayne and the faceted oof bg provides excellent support for the subject. Love the color palette and it's good strong composition as well. Looks like that 2.8 300 will serve you well. I'm assuming you'll shoot it with a doubler most of the time. Same set up Richard Ditch uses, if I recall correctly. Best of luck with it.

Nice image. You'll love the 300. The birds are probably jealous they didn't get to go first.

Great lighting and bokeh from that lens. Perfect dof. Oh, and I also like the comp.

Wayne: I love the BG from a 300 and would use mine more for flowers if it wasn't so heavy. This is just excellent, especially the larger version. Keep your eyes to the ground when you're shooting the birds. Looking forward to more.>=))>
