Praire Death

Taken in the Flint Hills region of NE Kansas this Cottonwood tree succumbed to unknown causes a period of time ago.

Some color aberation which became evident as photo was reduced in size. NX2 doesn't seem to control color aberation well. Anyone have more experience with this program???

D300, NX2

Colors look ok to me, nice warm light--pretty shot!

Colors look OK, but overall IMHO the image needs to be abit darker. Kansas, does seem to have an abundance of dead cottonwoods just begging to be photographed. Thanks for sharing.

The color change I termed "aberration" was the bluish tint around the upper limbs.
Thanks for the comments. I did brighten this shot and John apparently thinks is should be darker. He's probably right.

How about converting to B/W?

A fine composition and nice colors. Does seem a bit bright to me, too.
