A panoramic view of Vernazza, one of the five medieval villages of the Ligurian coast altogether known as Cinque Terre. Taken yesterday evening at sunset.

Details: Eos 50D, Tamron SP 28-75 f2,8, GND 8x, tripod. Stitch of 4 verticals.

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time. Don't forget to click it larger for much better details and tones.

I also have a slightly different composition (2 horizontals stitched instead of 4 verticals, and taken at 12mm instead of 32mm). I like the contrast a bit more in this one, but honestly I'm really undecided about which one has to be preferred. What's your thought about it? Thanks for any suggestion.

P.S. It's quite interesting seeing how different the colour rendition is between the two lenses. These two pictures were taken a few seconds apart, and the same kind of filters were used for both.

I do like the contrast in #2, but I prefer the wider angle in #1. Both are marvelous shots.

This ia a wonderful scene Paolo. I like both of these and it is hard for me to pick a favorite. Contrast of the second one and view of the first I think. I just love the colors here!

What an incredible view-well captured. I plan to go there on my next trip to Italy. Hopefully this fall. The first post feels more intimate to me.

Ah Vernazza, the most beautiful of the 5 lands. I prefer the better colours in the 2nd version and the closer view of the town too.

Love the exposure here Paolo. Gives a nice moody evening feel. For my tastes, I prefer the 1st one.

I really like both versions, but the second is probably my favourite (the rocks in the water and the larger portion of the opuntia in the lower part).
The landscape of Cinque Terre is really unique (am I too partisan? ) and you were able to produce a great image!

I like the composition of the first one a lot more, but the sun appearance in the second one more. The second one, though, lets my eye drift to the right out of the frame where the first has a lot of interest on the right side, and enough there to move my eye back over to the sun. The sun seems oddly small for some reason to me though.

Ciao Paolo,
I prefer the second image but I like the village with the enlightened bell tower in the first one.
Both are marvelous shots! (I'm partisan too  ) :wavey:

Hi,
both shots are excellent. I would prefer the first one. The wide angle view shows a wonderful view over this little town and the ocean. Very beautiful natural looking colors. i'm notsure about the contrast in the second one. On the other hand again i like this contrast. Anyway, i really beautiful and moody evening scene. :toast:

Hi Paolo,
another wonderful shot! I do prefer the 1st version (both are beautiful) with the full village and the lightened bell tower. :toast:
