Went on a little winter abstract hunt yesterday and was happy with some of the results. This is about a crop of 30% of an image, with minor contrast/color processing. The shadow and light I think create an interesting effect here, adding to the vertical eye appeal. Any guesses?? Cause I'm not tellin'... yet. Thanks for looking and any C&C! ISO-100, 1/250th, f-6.3.

Not too hard to figure out... the walls of the spillway on a dam, with the remnants of snow and ice on the bottom.

Bill I applaud you for your creative approach in trying to make an image that is different. With some imagination I can indeed see your skyscrapers, but what I instantly saw was a concrete lined waterway... If that black blotch in the BLC would not have been there the optical illusion would have been stronger.

Well thanks Vincent! obviously it isn't a shot of skyscrapers w/ the water and snow in the middle, amongst other reasons, but I do like the vertical "illusion". Could crop it from the bottom rather than the top and eliminate that patch of ice, just thought it was another element added.
