A more intimate view of Lake falls with some accents of icicles lingering within. The cool dark canyon combined with the constant sound of falling water portrays a more subtle beauty to the falls. The weather here has been complete garbage. Grey skies and no snow yield not much photographically. Even the more intimate scenes are challenging during this weather.

Anyways thanks for looking and commenting
Much appreciation

A really nice waterfall photograph. The darker shapes behind the glowing water look mysterious. Love the title too.

Nice job at coming away with a fine image even though the weather was crappy. I firmly believe that there is always something to shoot; you just have to be able to recognize what that "something" is.

I like the composition and moody feeling. Works great for me.

This is really nice, Anthony. I didn't notice the ice on the left until I read your post. I'm not sure if it helps the scene or not, but either way I like this a lot.

Sweet, Anthony. I rally enjoy the motion and textures. Not sure why, but this somehow feels religious.

I really like the smooth flow here. The illuminated ice on the left is quite intriguing and holds my eyes there, thus unbalancing the composition a bit. Nevertheless, a beautiful intimate capture!

Anthony, this is really gorgeous, as you have already got us used to...:)
I am going maybe to mention a minor nit for me, the too shiny icicles draw the attention away from the centered tumbling water, and as they are too close to the frame the eye is tempted to go away from the image. It is true the icicles balance very well the light shape of water to the right of the image, but they are in my opinion too bright to be so close to the frame. This is just being picky, you dont leave a lot of room for critics with your images!!

Well you still managed to find a nice scene Anthony, even though the conditions haven't been too great lately. I like the intimate view here, the comp works very well for me, and once again I find you bw conversion spot on. Nice work.

Lots of neat little spots to enjoy in this shot. The icicles don't unbalance the shot or otherwise present any issue for me. I noticed them rather quickly and thought they were just another interest feature.

I really like the ice and think a closer image of that and the falling water would be very cool. Here, I think it distracts and pulls my eye too much. Cropping it out would also un-center the main falls. I like the depth though from being able to see through the falls.

The falls and presentation are gorgeous. Ill add my voice to the chorus that the icicles unbalance the shot--they pull my eyes there and keep them there. They're a pretty element, but the shot is stronger without them. :wavey:

Thanks everyone for your comments
I was leaning towards your thoughts as well on this. I wish there was icicles on the right to balance the image better. I can see your points and wasn't sure so its good to get some feedback. We can sometimes be too picky about our own images, but its good to get outside thoughts. Thanks much
