Male of Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) were only training, but they do not preserve themselves anyway. They were part of herd of 20 but the dominant was a huger and more noble one.

Chobe Nat.l park -Botswana

Techs: Nikon D2Xs - 70-300 @135 - f/8 - 1/80 - +0,67ev - iso 200, metering pattern.

sum of three different PPs layers.

c& c very appreciated

HI Luca,

Tricky lighting under which to capture a bit of action, but overall I think you've done a good job with the post-processing. While I like the rim lighting on the subjects, I do wish that there was a little more light in the region of the heads (where my eye, and I suspect many others, will drift towards).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Hi Luca, that place looks familiar to me, must be the along the Chobe river  I agree with Brad that you handled a difficult lighting situation very well in capturing and processing. More BG separation would have been nice, but this bushy environment is typical Kudu habitat and it is always a challenge to photograph Kudu in that respect.
