Honest opinions are appreciated this one please. I know the lens distortion is a problem here and do plan on fixing it. What drew me to this was the chaotic patterns in the surf in the front foreground. The stumps in the surf are old trees some sort; palm trees I believe.

Nice wave action, and you know about the distortion. The horizon looks like it has a bit of a halo also. The whole composition makes me a little uneasy, and I can't put my finger on why exactly. But sometimes thats a good thing

Makes me think of a painting. I like the detail in the water, it definitely works for me. I could see a vertical crop removing the sky (doesn't do much for me) and focusing more around the two stumps on the left and leading lines created by the water.

I really like the comp and the textures in this. My suggestions would be to consider cropping a little off the left side and maybe working a bit more dramatic contrast into the water,

Really cool! :toast:

I would erase the halo-ing on the horizon though.

Mitch...I like this very much. The patterns in surf and sky are great. The stumps are internesting but I didn't really know what they were...rocks or stumps... but this doesnt detract from the image
