Cabo da Roca. Portugal

Powerful winter tides reaching Cape Roca´s shoreline. An amazing nature show, I was somewhat unquiet about being in this wild bay near the strong exploding waves nearby... but the extreme conditions ware rising the adrenaline, and kept shooting.

Note, photo taken few moments before latest post "Purple Light"

(still have to work a bit on FG)

Comments/critiques appreciated. Thanks.

Nice capture. I really enjoy the mystery of this shot. Nice bw conversion.

works well in b&w. the spray/mist certainly adds here and the composition works for me. well done.

Wonderful sense of power here. When I first saw the image I thought it was a waterfall. I could see pushing the whites a little higher, especially where the water is running through the rocks.

It's not as balanced as it might be after a crop in from both sides (more from the left) but as it is, I like it a lot. The tones after the conversion are excellent.

Interesting, I would have said it was a waterfall rather than a coastline. I like surprises like that.

Yeah! Great evening with the big waves crashing on this beautiful shore! Very challenging it was, i even have to scream your name once when you were cleaning the lens facing back to the shore and a huge wave almost swept you away   Ocean Powa! Great rendition.

super.
maybe the left side could be cropped a bit (not too much goin on there) so the viewer gets focused more on these sweet cascades.

I really like the mystery all the mist and motion creates, and especially the slightly discernible vertical lines near the top.

I agree that the rock to the left is just a little too dominant, but overall this capture creates a wonderful threatening mood. Glad you survived!

Wonderful image. I love the spray and the soft falls against the rocks.

Thanks for feedback.

Note: I preferred to keep that portion of the rock on the left side, due to the wild shape and the proportion it causes on the frame

Paulo: Ocean Powa! Thanks a lot bro! As far as I remember... I grabbed tripod and gear and started running!

Just curiosity about B/W conversion: I had a nice orange toned sunset sky in the original version. I opted for b/w due to contrast recovery, I realized that I could bring much more detail on the image - example - I´m talking about the upper portion, the wave crashing on the rock, bright water wasn´t popping out against sunset tones, and after processing, there is a lot more detail throughout.
