Arizona Black Tailed Prairie Dog. I took this photo at the Desert Museum. I could not believe the funny face this little guy was making, so I just had to take his photo.

Photo taken through glass
No tripod

You caught it in a great pose, and handled the glass well. You might consider cropping off the lower section. The smooth rock is about the only thing in the photo other than the size of the prairie dog, that indcates a zoo shot.

Great pose, love it, agree with John about cropping out the rock below. Without that i would not have known the glass was there. :toast:

Hey Laura,

Love it! Licking the glass? I think what others are referring to as a smooth rock is simply the earth jammed up against the glass wall? I guess it would be worth cropping this out, but this shot made me laugh exactly as posted.

Cheers...thanks for sharing...

Now that is a cute look. Love that pink tongue. I too think cropping the bottom would enhance the ability of this image to look less zoo like. However, I simply loved the Sonoran Desert Museum when I visited there recently. You are so lucky to be able to spend time there.
