Coast light

Hi guys

I'm coming back with this coastal scene at Lanzarote island (Spain), trying to capture a beautiful sunset, testing the reverse NGD. This is a good location because you always have clouds due to northern winds. The comp was easy the eroded stones as foreground, the sea as mid and sky as background.

I hope you like it.

RAW, ISO 100, f/16, 17mm, EOS 5D, Canon EF 17-40 f/4L USM, 3 stops reverse, Tripod.

Hey Roberto,
I think the reverse Gnd did its job at controlling that harsh light at the horizon here. I can't quite put my finger on it but it seems to be lacking something about the sky. More contrast or darker, not sure maybe a question for Ian Cameron. Regardless a very peaceful and image, and I love the mossy stones in the fg.
Thanks for sharing

This is a pretty simple into-the-sunset photo, but it works well. About the only critique that I can offer is to fix the barrel distortion caused by the wide angle and also level the horizon. Some may find that the blown highlights near the sun are a turn off, but its not a bother to me.

Roberto,
The reflections on the shoreline water and the FG rocks really make this sing. Even with the reverse grad, however, the sky low on the horizon appears a bit brighter than one would expect compared to the darkness of the FG. I think the sky looks fine by itself because the sun is not yet sinking into the horizon, but the FG appears to look darker and more contrasty. That's a minor nit, however. The lines of the FG rocks and water leading our eyes to the sunset are lovely.

I think the exposure, and comp look pretty good here. The only thing I notice is the distorted horizon line.

Beautiful seascape Roberto! A very interesting fg. My only nit is that the viewer is yet too far away from the interesting structures. Otherwise this is "sweet"

I think the big pool in the LLC lets me loose my way and drift right out of the photo. Colors in other places in the foreground are quite nice, and I think a crop to roughly 4:5 would improve the composition.

I like all the lines in this and the round boulders. Nice colors in the sky. Well done.

Great composition with the fg stones sweeping out to the sea and down the shoreline on the left. Perhaps a bit darker, though... just a bit... maybe... Love the scene overall.
