Taiga at dusk

Hi all, thanks for all your comments and suggestions to the last photo I posted

This time of the year when winter is everywhere I remember the fall trip to Alaska a couple of years ago. We spent four days at wonder lake campsite and one of the evenings we could enjoy one of the beautiful sunsets at the amazing taiga.

I hope you like it, the light of course was awesome :jump: but is it the compo unbalanced?

RAW image @91mm, ISO 100, f/16, EOS 5D, EF 70-200 f/4L USM, polarizer, Tripod, TK Luminosity Masks, a little crop on the upper part.

Regards

That's some spectacular light Roberto! I do't think the comp is unbalanced because I think the cloud formation at the left helps balance the mountains on the right. But I would try cropping out the 1st row of trees at the bottom.

Roberto,

I don't think the comp is unbalanced either, in fact I think it is nicely balanced. The gentle diagonals of the fore and mid ground balance out nicely as does the clouds and the mountain as Barry mentioned.

I do think you have some color balancing issues, especially with the blue at the base of the mountains and I'm also wishing there was a little more pop or life to the forested area at the bottom - it just looks kinda flat.

I see that you have made a few more comments this past week and that's is noticed and appreciated. I will continue to encourage you however to make an effort to comment on other people's work. You have received some very good feedback and I believe you have some valuable thoughts to give back to others. Thanks!

Beautifully delicate sky and a great "painterly" feel to the mountains. However, the foreground lacks punch and definition. There appears to be a lot more detail that could be brought out with careful processing.

Roberto, very peaceful and well-balanced image. I think some additional contrast would make it even better.

Lovely! Yes, well balanced comp. Maybe just burning the shadows in the foreground would give it the extra little zing it needs without disturbing the overall look and feel of the image...

Beautiful, well balanced composition Roberto. Maybe a tad more contrast as others suggested but other than that, a wonderful image.
