Well, I wasn't going to post another from this frozen stream I've taken a big liking too, but this shot and subsequent crop seemed worthy, so here goes... cropped from the top and slightly from LHS to eliminate any M&N stuff and focus on the falls, tried to get the contrast/brightness right w/ the whites... shot at 1/4th second, ISO-80, f8.0, tripod, no filters, etc. etc. Larger posted too, thanks again for any C&C!

Bill,
This is such a pretty stream, I just looked at your last 4 posts, and this is my favorite.
Just wondering if you tried cropping more from the bottom and including more of the uppper falls, because the upper falls are so nice (espcially at 1/4 sec.). I think that would be great, even if there is some man-made stuff up there.
It's easy to see why you took a liking to this stream!

Aside from some little technical issues with the highlight and the sharpness you've found a lovely place here. I like winter and water - I have to like this shot ;)

Thanks Wayne and Andreas--certainly needs some sharpening and some more work with the details I agree! But in another respect, it is what it was really. I think that gets lost sometimes is all. :toast:

Bill,

This is what I was imagining the larger view looked like after your previous, more intimate posted view. This is quite lovely and I like the sense of the flow and cascades as you can follow the water from the top all the way through the frame to the bottom.

Very minor is some of the brighter areas of snow which one day you will be able to selectively target and reduce, but I think you've got a real nice image here. It looks like it's paying off for you working a location that you're now familiar with and you enjoy shooting.

Thanks Lon and Steve! Some day Lon, soon I hope. :toast: There are 3 more cascades above the top one shown here. But I'll stick with this section for the moment, other than some panoramics of it and the old mill house right next to it.
