This is a fledgling I found in July. I liked the cuteness of the baby and the old log for a bg.

Dan
I love the pose you captured, the stumpy, little spread tail, the slightly disheveled feathers, light in the eye and those cute feet. The background works great and the bird stands out very well from it.
A very appealing image imo, well done.

Dan, Excellent pose, superb detail and I absolutely love the rustic setting. Must be my Montana roots, as your image reminds me of so many scenes I've seen up there - one of the reasons I have a large Daniel Smith American Kestrel print (with similar weathered wood and a wolf trap) hanging on my wall. I really do like this, can you tell?

What Mia said and kudos on the techs - the sharpness of the large version is great.

Terrific! I've never seen a fledgling of this species and enjoy seeing this excellent shot of one.

Excellent DOF and sharp image, Dan. If it were me, I'd try a slightly lower angle on this cutie. But then you could always down-crop it to square and have an excellent shot.

Very, very nice, Dan. In addition to what the others have noted, I really like the color palette you've got here, and the lovely mix of textures. First rate.

Very nice Dan. That pose is great and the background and perch work great. Super detail in the sparrow. Really cool to see a post of this fledgling.
