I took this image in May 09 at a local small reservoir. I used a floating blind.

Great work getting this close to the sora in a floating blind Dan, I like how he is out in the open, yet framed by the vegetation, excellent! :toast:

Super shot and I like the inclusion of habitat. Perfect dof to keep the whole bird sharp. Sharon

Excellent capture of a very illusive bird Dan. The comp and great habitat compliments this great bird :toast:

A fine image! The eye level approach makes it.

So the Sora is easier to see than the other rails but this is a great shot as posted! I would love to have anything near this good on a Sora.

Fine image, Dan, excellent detail and top notch DOF, with the complimentary BG bringing the bird right out into center stage in the frame. Pretty impressive considering the shutterspeed and HH. My only suggestion, but just as an alternative, maybe a crop off the top for a bit more intimate framing of an already fine image. Nice work!

So sharp! Beautiful image - I might also take a little off the top.

hey Dan
A great image, I like the business and the clutter of the image, the reeds show the birds habitat well, and the bird is very sharp.

Well done

Wonderful image of this Sora Dan! It is great how we have an open view of the bird yet the foliage frames it.

Terrific shot, Dan. I like everything about this. On the large view especially it seems like the bird is walking out of the frame! :toast: :toast:

Nice work catching this secretive little guy. The low angle really works.
