EAGLE EYES

Bald eagles have always impressed me. I am fascinated by their strength, beauty and incredible array of adaptations. To have eyesight as detailed as theirs, must be an amazing experience.
Happy New Year to all and best wishes for 2010!

I like the color, details and especially the pose in this portrait Darren. He kind of reminds me of a stubborn old man for some reason.

I didn't think this would appeal to me when I saw the thumbnail Darren but I've changed my mind after looking at the larger photo. Pretty neat to see this detail head on. I had a similar closeup opportunity with one in profile recently so I find this perspective extra interesting.

Darren,

I enjoy this portrait of your eagle because of the head on pose, the lighting and how well the bird stands out from the dark background. I also like the stare.
Happy New Year to you too Darren.
