This is an area known as The Amphitheater at Bryce Canyon NP in Utah.
Photo was taken with a Nikon D300 DSLR with a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens. The morning light adds to to the colors of the sandstone hoodoos, as these upright structures are called.

Quite an impressive shot with a 18-200 lens. I would like to see a little more warmth in that sky - but all of the textures and detail in the majority of the shot keeps my eyes attention

I like the soft lighting here. I might warm the image just a bit, only to bring out the sky tones. Wonderful capture!

One day I have to see this awesome place in person. The shot looks fine but it's not too spectacular. I might balance the brightness a little (sky a hint darker and LRC a bit brighter).

It's a gorgeous place for sure. I like the soft light, but would maybe opt for a darker sky.

There used to be a world-class Cibacrhome printer in Flagstaff named Richard Jackson.
