Whoopsy.......sorry matey
Up at the top of Floan fjord early in the morning?
I know this image has done you proud since you took it Mark - nice to get one against the dark water, and you caught it just at the right moment.
You did very well to get this handheld with the 500mm and to get the exposure right - it's not quite as easy as some might think.
Nice one matey - and nice to see you posting

That is gorgeous. Love those spread talons and wings. Perfect timing on your part to get the eagle in this position. I love how the light is hitting the head and the insides of the wings.

Such a majestic bird to photograph you;ve captured this perfectly. I would think this would be from a sequence and that you have one with the fish in its talons. Looks really sharp and like the dark background. Beautiful. Graham

Thank you all .The image is of a string and probably not the best of the lot .The image ,as Andy states, is the top end of Floan fjord,Flatanger , Norway in early light.Waving a 500mm around on a small boat trying to track eagles as they come out of the sun wasn't easy and after 3 days of trying I thought it was neigh on impossible. This particular morning it all fell into place .
