Great shot Andy, I like your comp, the look through the wing tips to the eyes and the falling snow. :toast:

Thanks for posting Andy, this is a very pleasing image.
The 'coming-in for-landing' wing shape is very cool and I too am glad we can see most of his face.

One of my favorite eagle pictures! I love that you were able to capture this image with the soft snow falling around the eagle. Beautiful!!

Hi Andy! The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. I'm glad I opened it. Stunning setting. I would wish that the eagle's head was just a bit more visible. Did it just land or was it on a kill and flapping to get better position? :toast:

Really different Andy and I like it too. The "peek between the primaries" gets my attention and I like the unusual aspects of the setting though I'd sure like to see a larger version.

I saw this over in the Bird Photography Forum, Andy, and am delighted you posted it here as well. It has the feel of a Mort Solberg painting, an artist I admire very much. The capture and composition is simply superb. The view through the primaries, falling snow and fadeout to the feet is mesmerizing. Not to mention an outstanding bird. Very, very good.

Excellent example of the hardships that these birds have to live through. Love it!

Beautiful image Andy. Love the mood of it. As fine an eagle image as I've seen for my tastes.

Super image Andy - I like the sense of white-out and the contrasting detail of the bird.
