One of My '09 Favs

In looking back at this year'simages that I made, this is one of my favorites. I had worked the flower for some time coming up with several that I was pleased with but this one stood out as the best of the group. I think the flow is what I liked the most. Anyway, just following what Bill asked us to do!!!

D80, f3.2, iso 100 I posted the larger version as well.

That is a Stunner, Beth  . While this is great as is, a square crop will also suit this as well.

Beth: Glad to see you're following instructions. I really like the flow of this. I can see where Ram is coming from with regard to the square crop but I like the full frame and the movement you've conveyed. Most excellent! >=))>

Beth this is excellent work! I really like the way the stem anchors the flower in the lower corner of the frame then moving diagonally outward. Beautiful!

This is very strong composition with the presentation of the lines of the leaves and flower. I think the suggestion of a square crop is worth investigating :toast:

Lovely light and color, and it seems to have it all going on with the right side, so a square would work as well, as suggested.

No wonder you like it so much. The curves, combination of colours and your choice of DOF in this image are simply amazing! It could work also in vertical composition with only the flower and the curved leaf in the frame.
