It is a rare day in Houston that I get to shoot frosty images but yesterday was that day. We even had snow although none of it stuck around our place. After the snow and freezing rain the temperature went to 23 overnight. We got caught a bit unprepared and weren't able to cover our plants so I fear we lost some of them. I'm hoping the roots are OK and that this particular flower will survive. It's already given me some good shots this fall and we had a tough time finding this variety. All comments welcome. >=))>

I hope they survive, Bill. A unique image, nonetheless. I like how the ice crystals show, especially in the larger image. :toast:

Hi Bill, I wondered if you got any snow, from what I saw on the news. Sorry the cold probably got some of your plants. As for the image, so nice. The ice crystals are a very nice (albeit perhaps undesired) addition.

Good luck with the plants, Bill. Nature perseveres and I am sure they will grow right back. The photo does remind me of ice popsicles and serves as a primer for the 1 foot of snow we are looking forward to this Tuesday

Ram: Glad it's you and not me. I much prefer sweating to shivering. God bless Texas! . . .Bill

Being an Indian (though now in UK), it's extraordinary for me to see frost on hibsicus  and you did a great job of capturing it so nicely. :toast: :toast: Good luck with the plants and hope they grow right back to give you and us (through your lens  ), lots of wonderful moments

Very nice Bill, technically excellent..
I heard you got quite a bit of that white stuff, was hoping it would stay further north here..
I would consider cloning out the leaf bottom left corner, just a thought.
Well done :toast:

Hi Bill :wavey: I find the composition is excellent . The b.g. works well against the frosted red color . The detail is always perfect on your work. Heres hoping the plant will survive that pretty, but dangerous frost

Just a great frost shot, and I hope you don't lose it either. I really like the frosted edge on the oof leaf behind. Excellent work.

Too bad about the frost but you took advantage of the situation to create an excellent image.

I heard about your snow. While it would be a shame to lose the plant I love the frost on it.
