Baby Iguana...

In the surrounding of the Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguerro a lot of big green Iguanas roamed around. This juvenile still has a brigth green color. As the adults can grow to 2 metres this one was just about 35 cm including tail. I would have liked some more DOF, but didn't have the light and the iguana was not in a position to use a tripod.

I do not mind the shallow DOF here Ellen as it separates the Iguana well from its busy surroundings and your focus is spot on. You handled the exposure well and the whites do not look blown, but still I think if you would reduce the brightness of the white bark a bit this would help focus the attention on the Iguana better.

That eye is great. I also like your placement of the iguana in the frame. The narrow DOF works well to focus the eye on the iguana and to minimize the effect of a somewhat busy background. I agree with Vincent that there are a couple places where the bark could be darkened. Quite a cutie.

Nice one Ellen! I agree that the narrow DOF is better and they way you've placed him in the frame draws the viewer right towards those tack sharp eyes. Very nicely done.
