Ginkgo Anthology

A study of one of my many favorite leaves. Captured in October while some color remained in their fleshy skin. I just love their shape and seem to be very good subjects for shots like this. I have been planning this shot for some time, meaning a nice carpet of leaves and rain drops coating them

Thanks for all your time and comments

Gingko leaves are one of my favs as well and this is excellent, Anthony. I like the detail, nice lighting, good comp and the one goldish leaf is nicely set up by the surrounding greens. The water droplest are plus as well. nicely done.

Anthony,

Great composition and exposure. Love the shapes and droplets, and the gently handled saturation. CPL really helps here.

Beautiful image. Love the range of colors and states of change in the leaves. Excellent detail, the veins in the leaves are key. Well done.

Outstanding! Very nicely composed. If anything, I'd only wish that the water drops were more consistently scattered throughout the image. They are noticeably absent in the LLHC and URHC. But this is a minor issue.

Gingko leaves are certainly very photogenic and you show why with this beautiful image. The crispness of the image is great as well.

Great find, Anthony. I think the moisture really helped those colors come out. Really nice work here.

Anthony,

Outstanding detail, texture and color! This is wonderful! My only wish is for a much larger view to really get absorbed in all the crisp detail. Simply an excellent nature portrait - still life. Great eye!
