Sanderling Feeding

These are great little birds. This one was on my local beach at Berwick upon Tweed Northumberland UK.

It was late in the afternoon last January, the light was the brilliant warn light you get at the end of a frosty day and the bird was feeding at the tide line. I was lying full length on the beach to get the low angle, I got a bit wet but the bird came quite close and I got the shot I was looking for.

C&C please

Beautiful light and pose. I really love the low angle. A personal pref, but I'm not a huge fan of the line across the bottom (oof wave?), it could be removed by cropping closer around the bird

I really like the feeding pose and I also like the oof fg Ron. My only suggestion would be too crop a little more from the left to move the bird farther from the center of the frame. :toast:

The hits just keep COMING! What took you so long to join NPN? Only suggestion is a tiny CCW rotation to even this out. Also can you get into the habit of posting your gear/settings? Makes critiquing/learning easier. Thanks

Excellent, Ron. I really like the low angle and you have the dof perfect for my taste. The little bubbles formed by the feeding action are a wonderful touch. :toast:
