I followed this guy on the beach for awhile while the waves came up to him. Taken at Plum Island, Newburyport MA. Nikon D40, 70-300mm at 300mm. F5.6 at 1/2000. ISO 360.

Try to keep the shadow in frame as much as possible

I love that raised back foot and the frothy wave in the background. Some of the whites look just a bit hot but otherwise well exposed.

I like this too Jillian. The water and sand are a great bg here for my tastes. The bird itself seems to be late for a meeting. Neat image.
