1D2n, 600mm f4 is, 1/3,200s, f5, iso 400. Sun just breaking over mountain.

Now I just wish he had a fish. I also would have liked a little cloud in the sky, but shouldn't complain as we've had rather too much lately! Taken earlier this summer.

Don't be too picky, Ian. I haven't seen the sun for a couple of weeks! Excellent shot, perfectly exposed.

Beautiful low key image. The osprey looks menacing and powerful.

Simply gorgeous - your talents with flight photography as well as the more "standard" avian photography are quite impressive. I was unaware that these birds were hanging out on the other side of the pond, so it's really cool to see this.

Ian,

This is a fine image as posted, I love that pose, the talons, the light in the eye and the crisp blue sky.

An excellent flight shot Ian, to my eye it looks a touch oversharpened. :toast:

Fantastic flight image, Ian. Every detail in crisp focus and no motion blur-that's quite an accomplishment. :toast:

Ian, I really like this bird against the really deep blue sky. Really a stunning combo. I also like the pose you caught the osprey in. Great shapness too. Well done.

Ian:
This shot is so outstanding, as posted, that fish-in-talons would not much (ceiling effect).
Wonderful sharpness and lighting. :toast:
