This is a macro shot of a thorn on a large agave plant in Ecuador. I loved the contrast in color between the green plant and background, and the red thorn. I hope you like it!

The color contrast is very nice as is the lighting and soft background. I think I would prefer this with a crop about 1/3 of the way in from the left which would still leave the thorn off-center and which would eliminate a good portion of the OOF portion of the plant. Did you shoot any verticals? Nice image.

Very nice colour combination and DOF use. Succulentae thorns are always interesting.

This is the type of image I shoot so of course I love it.

I'd like to see the image with the suggested crop, more as a comparison. I'm not sure I'd like it more - I'd just like to see what it looks like.

Cam... the exposure for this backlighting is perfect and the color contrast works very well. I agree with the crop suggestions for this horizontal, but I think a vertical composition might have been equally effective
