Autumn color in the Seneca Creek backcountry, Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia. From this past October before all the leaves were gone.

Thanks for any comments! Joe

Love the tree that's rooted in the lower left and extends to the upper right. It almost looks as if it's stretching  Nice shot

There's nothing like fall color on the east coast. Enchanting image.

This is nice Joe but an image like this with the detail gets ripped by compression. You could use the large option in an alternative way to show the detail in a cropped version. Yeah, I know great idea!

Thanks Bill! One of the best things about shooting in WV is all the ferns lining the forest floor.

a very nice forest scene, brought together in a simple yet elegant way by the curving shape of the tree, well done!

Thanks guys and gals! East Coast color can be quite amazing indeed. There is just so much diversity in the forest that produces a multitude of different colors! One of the few times of the year that I actually enjoy living in the east.

This is a wonderful Fall forest scene. The variety of color is something I miss from the east now that I'm in Colorado. These forest comps are difficult and you've done wonderfully here. Looks a bit busy at this size, another vote for the larger view. This is one of those images that I'm guessing a large print would really sing.

I envy all you guys for the autumn colors you got this year. None of that here in Miami. I have to make it a point to make it out there next year.
Great shot, Joe... I really like the contrasts (and colors, of course)! :toast: :jump:
