It's Snowing

A little bit different take on the theme. It was snowing heavily that day and just as I made the shot another bird landed on a branch above the two cardinals knocking off some additional snow.

Creaitve take on the theme! I could do without the motion blur though.

The blur in the red bird is a shame, but it's something that can be overlooked in my opinion because of the tremendous beauty in the photo. Very nice.

Excellent. The contrast of the bird and the snow is great.

The motion blur doesn't really bother me. I think one of winter's prettiest sights is a male cardinal in fresh snow. This is composed very well and you have perfect DOF. Nice capture.

Wonderful to see both the male and female together Phil. The birds, the snow, the pine branches...... Beautifully captured IMO.

Love it! The expression on the female makes this for me.

Very nice! If anything, I'd only suggest cropping about 20% or so from the right, which IMO would result in a more evenly balanced composition. As Cindy said, this would make a nice Christmas card.

Great shot! I like the effect of the snow and the pine branches. I agree this would make a great card!

Phil: I didn't notice the female in the thumbnail but her presence and pose make an otherwise outstanding shot exceptional. Really good photography. >=))>

I love the moment you've captured, with the two birds in postures that suggest they're both responding to something to the right. The one on the right seems to be ducking to get a better view.

I love the way all the elements of this shot came together for a wonderful image. I feel the snow.
