Maligne Canyon, Jasper NP
Our second day in Jasper NP I went out to Maligne Canyon early to try to beat the crowds and the morning sun. I'm always amazed at how life clings to seemingly impossible and inhospitable footholds. All comments welcome.>=))>

Great comp Bill. I like the starkness and perspective.

Looks majestic and dramatic to me, Bill. Wow, what a scene. Love the perspective.

Love the comp in this Bill. I'd think it might be a candidate for a conversion also.

It's always difficult for me to get an image that portrays depth. You've done a fine job here. I think the change from light to dark in the depth makes it work.

A dizzying comp! My vertigo just kicked in. I really like this comp with the trees growing on the shelf and light on the walls. Great work, Bill.

Wow, I get vertigo just looking at this. The fecundity of Earth is truly amazing. But lots can happen in 4.3 billion years.

I like the tree growing from an unexpected place and the feeling of looking down. This is interesting in that I view this from the top of the frame and work towards the bottom, the opposite of most pictures, which is refreshing.

Amazing scene Bill. That seems like a huge height, considering the scale given by the trees. Larger version rocks in detail! Well managed light balance.

Breathtaking in the way that it is almost scary just to look at this photo. Very well done.
