WC #404 - Wired

Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted October 25, 2009157 views9 comments

Hi all.

I hope there is enough wire showing in this one. I took this shot a couple of year ago, and it has been one of my favorite man and nature shots since.

Shot in late afternoon/evening light.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Well Done Nathan. I love the detail on the dragonfly and the wonderful complimentary colors. How did you get him to "pose" like that? Looks like he's waiting for takeoff clearance from the tower!

Enough wire for me. Very nice shot, with nice detail in the dragonfly.

My wife has gotten involved in dragonfly work lately. Is this an actual pose or a refrigerated dragonfly place on the post?

Thanks all.

Jim: This is an actual, live, dragon fly shot. No refirgeration used (didn't even know that was possible!) Was just lucky to catch him in this pose. Thanks.

Very nice Nathan, I think the post, wire & dragonfly all work well together and fit the weekly theme very nicely.

The fly is awesome, for sure! The wires are rather incidental to the subject i think--but it meets the theme.
