Weathering the Storm

Opened my tent last Sunday morning and found that Rock Creek Canyon in the Eastern Sierra had received 2-3 inches of fresh snow over night. I got my gear and started walking around looking for images and found this scene.

As far as I know this was the first snow of the season in the sierras. It felt really special to be here on this day. The more I visit the region the more I want to come back and perhaps, even live someday. I never get tired of the massive peaks nor the smallest details at my feet. There something very spiritual about the sierras and I'm always happy to be a part of it.

Simple and pristine in composition and mood. This is nice work, Mike.
