Spectacular Greg! I love all the open gold space, and despite the heron just being a silhouette, there's so much intensity!

Greg,
I like the utter simplicity of this. Quite appealing to me, love the golden toned water.

Beautiful silhouette, Greg. For some reason thew standard vertical presentations always feel tall and skinny to my eye, so I might chop a bit off the bottom, but that's strictly a matter of taste.

Greg, I really like this as posted. Very simple, but very captivating. The subtile ripple on the water makes this image work IMO. Very nicely done.

IMO there's too much space at the bottom, but that's just me, otherwise, a great silhouette, and that water is really beautiful.

Really nice and quite creative. It needs a little tiny CCW rotation I think though

Stunning image this! minimalistic as well as impactful! Love the tones of the water and the silhouette contrasts and blends so well with the scene. Tops my list of most creative images that I have seen of late!

Very different yet we see things like this all the time but just never post or photograph them
I love the Strike pose of the bird in this great expanse of water and the morning gold

I really love the backlight. Agree that you could tighten the crop for more impact.

Awesome - I think there is a little to much negative space below the bird and reflection. That is a minor not.

Appreciate the feedback! After a few hours not looking at the image agree with those suggesting the crop that it could use a bit off the bottom, and thanks for making the suggestion. One of those crops where I probably won't do a repost because the web browser can do the cropping for me

Love it as posted! You've several options with this one. I might try it a little darker. I like the negative space.

Really beautiful and simple composition. Would work well as a square comp if you were so inclined but nice as posted.
