Snowy Egret

Early morning ride to a close Nature Reserve with my best friend (my husband) provided me with a chance to take this photo of the Snowy Egret at low tide next to an oyster bar. The smell of the salt air, marshes, just fresh air makes me relax and with camera in hand I forget the stress of everyday living. Experiencing, capturing, and sharing my photos of all the wonderful creatures and natural settings our maker provides for us, from the smallest to the largest, always reminds me that there is something bigger out there.

Canon 50d, shutter speed 1/1000sec., focal length at 250mm, F/10.0, ISO 400mm.

I like the BG habitat and the detail on the larger image as well as the reflection. I just wish there was a little more detail in those white feathers

Amen to your commentary Carlette. Despite the fact we can't bring back the smell and fresh air, we sure get to experience while we capture the view.

I agree with your concept. Great husband to be with you doing what you love. I drug mine around Sanibel last week and I love him for it. This is oine of my faves, the snowy. Well captured
