sensual lines here stan. you're in love, it seems. the pastel tones add mood. perhaps you could consider a crop from the bottom? hominid footprints?

No hominid prints here, Stuart--and i made sure mine were nowhere near this shot! Coyote, most likely.

Wonderful photography Stan. Lines, curves, light, shadows and texture. Everything just works. Soft, gorgeous color as well. Personally I would probably have cut it a little from the bottom. But that might get rid of the wonderful textures in the foreground. Ah well. Scratch my remark...

You are to sand what TK is to sandstone....this is gorgeous. The color, lines, and shadow all make for another winner. I'm a little undecided about the upper portion and was playing around with a crop down to a point just above that short ridge line on the left but I think doing so would mean cloning out the tracks.....

I thought I've seen your best dune shots Stan, but they just keep getting better. Gorgeous indeed.

A beauty of a shot. I'd like to see a little less blue, and perhaps a little more yellow.

Terrific shot dune boy! I love the subtle shadows and changes of hue! (shouldn't this be in man and nature, just look at those tracks! )

Blue dunes. What a great idea. This works nicely . . . very nicely. This is very different dune light, and takes sand to a new level.

My only thoughts would be maybe cropping some from the bottom as the foreground element seems a bit too much.

Also (and this is getting picky) there seems to be a red chromatic aberration line along top of the bottom dune. Might be jpg compression.

I think a pano of just the middle part of the dunes would make this even stronger. Great lines, subtle gorgeous light and color.

Eliminate the comma between the words 'Curves' and 'and', and an 'r'; from 'Caresses', and you have a lead-in sentence worthy of the beauty of this image.
I agree with Tony that a crop of the bottom up to where the sand ridge runs into the lower right corner would be a big improvement in total balance.

The location makes it easy, Phil--that's one reason i keep going back!
John, thanks for catching my attrocious spelling. Poetic license lets the comma stay!

Interesting shades of color and lines. I was initially going to suggest a crop from the top, because the top seemed a little confusing in relation to the rest of the image. But the more I looked at this, I think that ambiguity adds to the interest. Good stuff!

Stunning lines and textures. It makes me dream of experiencing some dunes. My only nit might be a crop from the top to hold the eye more forcefully on the strong central lines.

Awesome Stan. The gray/blue color in the sand is amazing. I prefer just a touch off of the bottom for balance-I do like the subtle fine ripples in the immediate foreground though and would hate to loose any of those.
