I made this image on the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve in the Flint Hills of Kansas.I had beautiful foggy conditions one morning and made this image as the fog lifted before the sun broke through. Comments welcome

Beautiful image Stephen. Wish I could visit the preserve in OK this week. Makes me miss the open spaces.

This is real nice. The grasses are wonderful and the light is perfect.

This is a beautiful scene indeed. It's a shame the prairie photos don't get more attention here. I'd love to see a foggier version of this scene, but given the conditions this is quite stunning as is.

Very nice, Stephen! Great subject and presentation. To be ultra picky, i wish the tree broke the horizon. But thats real minor, cause the balance is very good here overall. :wavey:

Nice! Love the earthy color palette and subdued light. One thing that keeps drawing my eye is the dark space in the LRC where there are no blooms but it's a minor thing.

Great colors in those fg bushes, I just wish that great tree would be more prominant in the frame...but there's not much you could do about that

Definitely makes me want to add the Flint Hills to the list of places I want to visit.

The thumbnail doesn't do this justice... very nice! I love the muted colors, placement of that lone tree and row of that flowering plant in the fg. I might favor a slight crop off the left side just to make that row of flowers appear to run all the way across the image. Other than that, this definitely works for me. Good stuff!
