I just got back from a family vacation to South Dakota. I found these cooperative prairie dogs in Wind Cave NP, and was pleasantly surprised when they hugged. 50D, ISO 400, 1/320, f/8

Great interaction on these Prarie Dogs Rob! I do wish the twig wasn't there, but it would not be easy or fun to clone out a twig with fur behind it....plus, I just am not a big clone person.....it is a tiny bit distracting though.

How adorable! What a great shot. Too bad about the stick, but that's nature. The hug is so terrific it's easy to overlook the stick.

Thanks for the comments. I've tried cloning a little of the stick out, and so far don't like the results. I'm not a big fan of cloning out items anyways, but a little cloning can be useful at times.

nice attitude, nice details and mood. The twig didn't bother initially, but now that i saw it my eyes continuosly go there. it's a pity, but i understand it is not easy to clone it out.

Where did you find such a cute couple! The stick? Oh well. They posed perfectly, you have nice light in both their eyes and your exposure looks perfect.
