Which Fly?
Got out yesterday for some late season trout fishing in northern NH. The day was beautiful, the colors nearing peak and the fish were eager. This was shot well after the light had left the river but a nice soft glow was reflecting into the valley from the setting sun. I'm always drawn to the interaction between angler and river. Thanks for commenting.

Great light on the leaves and rapids, and a unique shot for sure.

f14 or 13 @ 1.3 sec., natural light. Basically we were fishing down in a ravine. It was about 5PM and the light falling on the scene was basically reflecting off the puffy clouds above providing some nice soft light on the angler and just barely kissing off the trees at the water's edge. The background forest was in deep shade making the trunks and limbs pop.
My processing was pretty straight forward, exposure and white balance adjustments in ACR and some selective dodge and burn in PS. Burned in some of the brighter highlights in the water and did some dodging of the trunks and limbs on the far bank. Thanks for the interest.
Thanks for sharing the techs etc. Your friend did a great job holding the fly rod still for that long!

Fantastic photo. Do you have a model release? This one definitely is saleable.

The percentage of blacks here really make the highlights pop!
