ISO 200, 1/250 @ f5.6, CPL

Just returned from a three week swing through Olympic NP, Victoria, and Jasper, Banff, Yoho, and Kootenay NPs. What a wonderful trip it was and a special note of thanks to Darwin Wigget whose guide book to photographing the Canadian Rockies was worth its weight in gold and then some. Extracted this spray rainbow from Takakkaw Falls last Wednesday evening. All comments welcome.>=))>

I see this as an abstract, and quite beautiful! Without your explanation, I could not identify the subject or even judge its scale; but for the colours and the texture, this picture is really great!

Beautiful image. I've never seen a rainbow in Takakkaw Falls before. I've camped just down the hill from there several times, at Kicking Horse Pass.

Bill,

This is awesome! Like Michel, I have no idea of the scale. But judging from the rock detail above the rainbow, this just seems massive to me, maybe 200ft from top to bottom? Regardless though, this is a wonderful capture. I really like the swirling mist just to the left of the rainbow.

Very nice indeed - not sure what the scale is but this looks huge! Tristan

There's a real bit of magic here, Bill. The partial rainbow makes the shot of course, but I also like the textures, and the water caught in mid-fall. Very nice!
