Hi all.
We went to our favorite garden center on Saturday...
This is an African Daisy, a variety called 'Sunray'. All of these blooms are on the same flower. This one flower was just loaded with blooms. I have lots of comps of the grouping of blooms.
Does the wilted abberant petal on the top bloom hurt the shot? I know that I have some from later shooting where I moved the petals on the right bloom over that bloom. I did not take the time to try to fix the petal on this one.
Honest thoughts please! Any and all thoughts appreciated.
Edit: This is NOT a composite shot, the flower really had this many blooms right together.

24 commentsI think the shot is amazing as is. The petal adds character - nothing is perfect after all.
Critical inspection leads me to think the center of the shot should not be green background but filled with the flowers. The top-right, right above that upper petal, should be cropped/cloned out IMO.

I wonder how this would look if you rotated the image 90 CCW???

This is not actually a composite shot, this was just the way they were alligned and arranged.
I am not sure about the 'Grainy' appearance - the sun was mostly down at this point, and I was just shooting at ISO 200. They did have an amazing amount of detail in the blooms though.
I did clone in just a smidge of color into the upper right corner of the shot.
