Greenbrier Cove Stream

As I mentioned on a previous post, while I was last in The Smoky Mountains. I became fascinated with the streams. They were just beautiful and the Spring foliage allowed plenty of light through. These scenes just naturally appeared as panoramas to me.

Comments and questions are always welcome.

Canham 5x7, Schneider 90mm XL, Bergger 200 B&W, no filter
Epson 4870 Scanner, Epson 2200 Printer

Hope you enjoy it.

I have enjoyed your series, but then again I tend to be partial to good b/w images.

I like the way the trunks jump out from the frame. They give it a 3-D effect in my simple mind. Having said that, this one is not my favorite from the series although it is still very strong. Just a personal preference.

I'm just blown away by these, Robert. The composition, the light, and the details are just outstanding!

Another excellent one, Bob. I think I can recognize the other spot you photographed from thirty feet forward in this scene :)

Keep 'em coming!

What sets this image apart from most of the Smoky Mountain stream shots I've seen is the perspective. It gives me much more of a feeling of 'being there' than a lower perspective lends. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much for the Editor's Pick, it is a high honor. I think you can tell that my photography is going through a metamorphosis. I still love color, but now when I see an image, I am frequently thinking, how would that look in B&W. The B&W is winning in 90% of the time.

Thanks to all and keep shooting!
