Just gorgeous! Love the blue color and the shutter speed was perfect, the motion in the water is great. What modifications did you do to the image?

@Scott, I cleaned out some impurities in the water, and I modified the angle of the image slightly. I then made a copy layer and used the Photomatix (fake-HDR) plugin on that layer, set the layer to hide all, and painted in sections of the foam areas that I wanted to show up in more detail. Finally I adjusted curves, and the usual resize/sharpen for web.

I hope this is not too much modification for this site. I am new at this site, and am not yet familiar with the requirements for images here.

Blue and gold is an excellent combination. The sweep of color through the frame is very graceful. I think is was important that it continue through the frame and not stop. That drew me to the really nice slightly detailed white water spraying back(?) from the right side. It is really interesting to see so much detail in the white, but still have that glassy smooth water through the frame. Congratulations on the well-deserved Editor's Pick.
