This particular arboretum near my old home was especially beautiful a couple of years ago at the turn of Autumn....

I took this on the ground under a grouping of several tree varieties..

Rich colors and beautiful leaves, Ned, and I agree with Jack--the image would indeed make a wonderful cover for a book, a journal, a nature book... Lots of possibilities.

I'm envious. I've not seen good color this time of the year for a long time ...

What a stunner, Ned! Great saturated colors, and the arrangement is perfect! (did you spend hours looking for it, or did you do any arranging yourself?) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments... I dropped in the yellow one, and a few of the edge ones.. and I pulled out the brown and dried ones.. the ground was literally covered with color, though.. I went back the next couple of years, but never saw anything like this there again..

Thanks, Ned, i was testing you (many photographers grow long noses with that question) and you passed with flying colors (pun intended)
