Captive Andean Condor at the Boise Zoo, Boise, ID. This is my first post to a Weekly Challenge. I'm not sure if it fits the theme exactly, but it's the closest I can offer...

Hey, Jim, The Weekly Challenge is a great place to hang out. Good photographers, great images, a touch of kibitzing, and best of all, a different challenge--every week! so welcome aboard.

I think your image fits Lia's suggested theme very well. We're obviously using the broadest sense of the word, "funny." Funny, odd, different, strange, weird but of most importance, a subject that looks as if s/he has a specific expression. And your Condor is certainly cocking an evil eye at me. I can feel it. :toast:

At first glance, the bird almost looks as though it has a cigar hanging from it's beak. Just a shadow but I had to look twice.

A good posting for this week's theme.

I'm wondering about a crop at the top but hard to tell ????

Carol

He looks like he's wearing fur (hopefully faux  ) I think this is a great contribution to the theme!
I agree with Carol, close to square crop would be best IMO.

I like the "fur" collar, too. Hope he's not looking at me with an appetite

Evil looking beak too. Nice exposure and great detail of the face that goes with the Evil Eye. :toast:

Great expression on that Condor, it looks like he is mad they substituted ground beef for his filet mignon!

Thanks for playing with this theme!

That truly is a funny face Jim - with the bare skin and nostrils and ears so exposed.
