NPN Members Contribute to Cancer Research
In January of this year, NPN was contacted by a representative of the Duke University School of Nursing. We were asked if we had any "nature photography slide shows" on CD that we would be willing to donate to a chemotherapy research program being conducted at Duke. Though we had no such CD at the time, we quickly brought this to the attention of NPN members in the General Discussion forum. Though it took some time to nail down the specifications of what was needed, we are now in the process of collecting images for our contribution to this worthy project. NPN member Jim Deasy is coordinating and producing the DVD on our behalf (thank-you Jim!).

Every month, we feature one of our member’s portfolios on PhotoPortfolios. This month we are featuring the portfolio of NPN member Rod Barbee.
Rod is a professional nature photographer and writer with publishing credits that include Outdoor Photographer magazine, Nature’s Best magazine, Northwest Travel magazine and calendar, Backpacker magazine, Audubon calendars, Mead calendars, Orvis clothing catalog, the National Park Service and National Parks magazine.
