PhotoPortfolios - The First Year

January 2004 marked the launch of our new member portfolio website. 400 photographers, 8200 images and over 650,000 image views later, PhotoPortfolios has emerged as one of the top photography portfolio sites on the Internet dedicated to nature, travel, outdoor and sports photography.

Intended to replace the existing member photography portfolios provided by another site, PhotoPortfolios was envisioned as a site for our members to display their photography in an elegant portfolio format. Additionally, we wanted PhotoPortfolios to be a marketing tool for our members to showcase and promote their work to potential photo buyers. With these goals in mind, we designed PhotoPortfolios as a separate website dedicated entirely (without distraction) to providing these benefits to our members.

All members of the Nature/Travel Photographers Network are entitled to a portfolio on PhotoPortfolios.
