YOUR OPINION NEEDED
Ok Folks, I need an opinion.

I have a very similar image as this one, without the yellow-orange highlight in the green, between the leaves of this flower.

Does this highlight
1)bother you
2)Add to the image or
3) no feeling either way.

Thanks for the input. I just can't seem to come to a conclusion either way

Regards,

Jack

I would retain the highlight to balance the dark central disk of the flower. Otherwise, wouldn't the photo be out of balance? You might want to change the color of the highlight to provide better balance of hue as well as luminance (value). Also, have you tried to recover more detail in the central disk of the flower?

Without seeing the other image, I would probably prefer to have a solid green background. My thinking is that the orange in the green background distracts slightly from the petals. The separation just isn't quite as well defined.

Jack, I'd probally prefer that it not be in the image, however, I'm also not bothered by it. For some odd reason when I view the image the highlight pulls me to the left causing the two pedals to turn into rabbit ears. I swear I'm sane

I would go without the highlight.

Robert,

Don't feel bad... I was seeing faces in tree trunks today.

Remember that line in Airport (Lloyd Bridges) " I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Thanks folks...keep the cards & letters coming!
